Question

How do I book my onsite lodging?

Answer

To book your on-site lodging for the wedding, please visit the lodging tab and click the "View" button in the Travel Note. This will bring you to the Cheddar up event webpage from there you can select your lodging options and submit your payment to Camp Cody.

Question

How do I know my on-site lodging will fit my needs? For example, can I specifically opt in for a more private room or a shared space? Will I know my cabin mates?

Answer

The answer to all of these questions is a resounding yes! We (Nick & Rishel) make all guest lodging location choices including the cabin and room. Thankfully, we know and care about our guests far more than a venue/hotel employee, so we will carefully place guests to ensure you are lodged with people you are comfortable with, you aren’t overcrowded, and you have suitable accommodations to meet your specific needs. Please contact Nick and/or Rishel anytime to ask questions or share any specific needs so we can allocate specific rooms that fit these needs. The cabins and 15-bedroom lodge are tidy and spacious with heat, electricity, and bathrooms with showers. With beds for up to 340 guests across 17 cabins and 1 lodge with a cumulative total of 45 rooms that sleep 1, 2, 4, 6, 10, 14, 16, or 24 guests each, we are certain we can accommodate every guest's unique needs comfortably. Cabins have 1-2 large open rooms (downstairs and upstairs) with multiple twin bunk beds as well as a chaperone room with 2-4 twin beds +/- an ensuite bathroom. All cabins have their own shared bathroom with multiple toilets and shower stalls as well as multiple shared sinks. Additionally, there are private rooms (twin, full, or queen beds) +/- ensuite bathrooms in the 15-bedroom lodge for guests requiring more privacy. The lodge also has shared bathrooms with multiple toilets and shower stalls as well as multiple shared sinks As we (Nick & Rishel) receive RSVPs and lodging bookings, we will begin to place guests in accommodations fit to their needs and the final guest lodging map will be provided following the RSVP deadline (July 31st, 2025).

Question

Are there any transportation options to and from local hotels for guests staying off site?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We made the personal choice to invest in a large enough venue that all guests can be comfortably lodged on site and won't need to worry about any transportation to and from events other than arriving on site and driving home. Given the more "remote" wedding location on Lake Ossipee in Freedom, NH we also want to be up front that it will likely be difficult to book ride share or taxi services to and from this area, so please connect with us if there are any needs or concerns around transportation we can help you address.

Question

What's the check in process?

Answer

Check-in time is at 4 PM on Friday 10/3/2025. We highly recommend checking in by 2 PM on Saturday 10/4/2025 to allow time to settle in before the ceremony at 3:30 PM. Guests may enter through the main entrance (marked by the Camp Cody sign), park, and walk down the path to the second building on there right (admin office). A welcome table with welcome bags for each guest will be outside. The welcome bag will contain a campground map with your sleeping location circled.

Question

What else should I bring for my stay?

Answer

Here's a list of items you may want to bring for your stay: 1. During the wedding drinks are on us, but feel free to bring any other beer/wine to enjoy beforehand. 2. Snacks, drinks, sandwiches 3. Feel free to bring your own cooler. They will have ice on site. We also have access to a large walk-in cooler. 4. Recreational clothes. There are lots of activities to enjoy on site and you'll want comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes to enjoy them. 5. Toiletries.

Question

Can I bring my own linens?

Answer

Yes! You have the option to rent bedding and towels from the Cheddar Up event page, or you have the option to bring your own linens and towels. We would recommend bringing your own linens, towels, pillows.

Answer

Yes! Please contact Rishel or Nick directly to let them know if you plan to bring children so they can add them to their headcount. FYI, children under 4 eat and stay for free!
