Alysha: Rishab and I met in Austin through a mutual friend in a strange twist of fate one evening. Looking back, it’s scary to think that there were so many points in the evening where one small divergence could have resulted in us never meeting. Rishab proposed in New York in October of 2019 and it was such a beautiful moment. I was so taken by the beauty of the ring when I first saw it that it took me a few seconds to realize that I hadn’t yet answered his question! He is truly the yin to my yang, and as a team, I know there’s nothing we can’t achieve. Our journey is a beautiful reminder that soulmates are real and I’m lucky to have found mine in an unlikely twist of fate. Rishab: I'm all things grateful, humble, and terrified when I think about the probability of Alysha and my meeting. First, a friend canceled plans which led to me hanging out with my roommate and his friends, who (against my protests) dragged me out with them to have a good time and, despite my desperate attempts to leave, caused me to cross paths with my future other-half, who herself just happened to be visiting friends in Austin. It's hard not to imagine this was more than a cosmic coincidence, bolstered by the fact that life has never kept us apart for long, despite the thousands of miles between our homes. As I told a friend the day after Alysha and I met, I knew from those very first moments I would spend my life with her.
