A favorite spot before our beach walks in Del Mar. Also the spot Rishad took Carmel to pick up a vanilla latte moments before the proposal! Walking distance is Board n Brew, a local sandwich spot, and Saffron and Rose, a Persian ice cream joint! Grab a coffee and explore the beautiful Del Mar beach or the cliffs where we had our first date. It's all about the little joys.
From early sunset picnics and our “soft launch” to the spot where we took our engagement photos, Sunset Cliffs is a place we’ve returned to again and again — for long walks, quiet prayers, and soaking in the beauty of our city.
Balboa Park contains many little worlds. One of our favorite walks takes us through the fragrant roses (find all the fun names) and into the cactus garden for desert vibes. For longer visits to Balboa Park grab a hot drink at Craft Café at Mingei and stroll through the botanical building or check out the cherry blossoms at the Japanese friendship garden (ticket required).
If you are in North County San Diego, pick yourself up a hefty carne asada burrito. These fueled Rishad's childood and continue to fuel our adulthood!
Great place to take a dip and a walk. This is a go to place for us to get some fresh air and enjoy the ocean breeze. Just a short drive away is La Jolla Coves where you can also enjoy the sea lions and a wonderful sunset!
