Travel

The Wedding Website of Lindsay Riordan and Taylor Bettinson
LODGING: For anyone planning to stay overnight, we recommend reserving your room quickly. The wedding is two weeks after Halloween, but this is still fall in New England (and Salem specifically). There are many excellent options within walking distance from the venue, including several AirBnB listings worth checking out. Below are several local inns and hotels with historic charm. We also have a limited block of rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn Salem. All lodgings on this page can be seen on the map above. GETTING TO SALEM: If you're flying in, we recommend taking an Uber/Lyft from Logan Airport to your room as the easiest way to reach downtown Salem. By train, the commuter rail brings you to Salem on the Newburyport/Rockport line.

Hotel

Hampton Inn Salem Boston

11 Dodge Street, Salem, MA 01970

A block of 10 rooms is reserved for our guests at the Hampton Inn (and potential availability beyond our dedicated block). Amenities include a pool, and for travelers with a Hilton rewards account booking here will earn you points. Call and name-drop the Riordan-Bettinson wedding to get a block room. Parking is additional.

Hotel

Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites

225 Derby Street, Salem, MA 01970

Similar in price and amenities to the Hampton Inn (that is to say, it also has a pool) and includes complimentary parking.

Hotel

Hawthorne Hotel

18 Washington Square West, Salem, MA 01970

A historic 100-year old hotel at the corner of Salem Common, the Hawthorne is a very popular local hotel and reportedly haunted. A good balance between a hotel and a colonial inn experience, rooms here are already in limited supply. If you are interested in staying here, act fast!

Hotel

The Salem Inn

7 Summer Street, Salem, MA 01970

With rooms in three different historic buildings, all of which are located a two minute walk from the venue, the Salem Inn is an excellent choice for folks looking to maximize the Old New England atmosphere of their stay.

Hotel

The Merchant

148 Washington Street, Salem, MA 01970

With centuries-old past lives as a home, a tavern, an office and a rare book shop, The Merchant today has been restored as a luxurious boutique hotel. In 1789 George Washington stayed here (and we're staying in his room).

Hotel

The Daniels House Inn

1 Daniels Street, Salem, MA 01970

Another option right off of Salem Common, the Daniels House is the oldest inn in Salem. Despite its age, it also has parking for horseless carriages, or 'automobiles'.

House Or Rental

AirBnB Options

There are several AirBnBs in the same walkable downtown district as the hotels we've listed, and many of them have multiple beds. Coordinating a group rental with friends could make staying the weekend more fun and more affordable at the same time. Worth checking out!

Hotel

The Coach House

284 Lafayette Street, Salem, MA 01970

This luxury boutique hotel in a 19th century home has a modern spa among other amenities, and while it's the farthest option from the venue at about three-quarters of a mile, it is still easily walkable in fifteen minutes.

Hotel

The Hotel Salem

209 Essex Street, Salem, MA 01970

Another boutique hotel, this one is located right in the middle of downtown on the cobblestone boulevard that also features the Peabody Essex Museum and many themed shops. It's pricier than our other recommendations but a fun splurge opportunity for anyone who wants to treat themselves.

Hotel

The Bell Inn

2 Washington Street, Peabody, MA 01960

Make sure you leave enough time to drive or get an Uber to the venue in Salem.
