We're getting married!

Rio and Darian’s love story is the culmination of blessed coincidences. They first met February 10, 2018, on a cold, winter night during the last day of a collegiate leadership conference in Indianapolis, Indiana (AFLV). A brief hello as they both came into contact through a mutual friend. However, the two would speak again a few months later at the Atlanta Greek Picnic as Rio offered to help Darian since it was his first time attending the event. Although the two were from completely different parts of the country, this young man from Memphis, Tennessee knew that this woman from New Jersey was someone he had to keep in his life. Once again coincidence struck, as Rio planned to visit to her line sister who was from the Memphis area. The two took the chance to deepen their relationship which prompted them to stay in contact even as Rio was attending the University of Pennsylvania and Darian was attending the University of Memphis. On July 28, 2019, the two of them decided to make their relationship official and it’s been love ever since. On October 25, 2025, Darian got down on one knee and Rio said yes to forever together!
