We’re getting married!

Eric and Natasha grew up in Pennsylvania less than 2 hours from each other. Ironically, Eric met one of Natasha’s friends in OCMD on senior week several years prior to meeting. That same friend ended up helping them both get jobs at TGI Friday’s in State College around the same time. Working together for months without ever taking the time to get to know one another, Natasha and a friend decided to meet up with coworkers at Mad Mex for drinks one night. Natasha’s friend just happened to be dating Eric’s roommate who was there as well. They instantly hit it off and had a strong connection, but timing was not on their side. A couple months went by and eventually their lives started to align. Natasha was with her friends and Eric’s roommate at Kildare’s for bomb night when Eric’s roommate called and asked him to pick them all up. Thanks to Natasha’s friend puking in Eric’s car, they had the opportunity to have drinks and talk more since Natasha invited Eric up to grab cleaning supplies for his car. No great love story comes without its challenges. Eric was a year older with plans to move away after graduation, not long after theirs had just begun. They made long distance work, alternating travel on weekends (exploring DC, meeting halfway, or hitting a PSU game). Although Natasha was offered a job in Philadelphia after graduation, luck was finally on their side! Her company had a job open up in DC and she happily accepted. After a year of living separately, but right down the road, they moved in together. After a little bit of convincing from Natasha, Eric relented and they adopted Lucy, the best rescue dog they could have ever asked for! Fast forward several years, they now live and work in Kansas City. They are outdoor enthusiasts, gym/workout fanatics, travel partners, and concert lovers.

After six years, Eric popped the question while on vacation in Asheville, NC. Eric knew he had to plan a proposal with Lucy while doing something they love, so where better to do it than at the top of the Craggy Pinnacle trail.
