FAQs

Question

Where is the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago, IL. Both the cocktail hour and reception will be held at The Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca, IL. Our cocktail hour will take place outside (weather permitting) and the reception will be held indoors.

Question

Can I bring a plus one (date/extra guest)?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate for plus ones. We both have large families and want to keep the wedding to family and close friends. Your invitation will have the name(s) of people able to attend. We thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you there!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love all the kids in our lives, we have decided our wedding will be an adults only celebration—with the exception of the flower girl and ring bearer. This will help us stay within our venue's guest capacity, and we hope this advance notice allows time for you to make arrangements!

Question

Is there on-site parking?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking right when you pull into the hotel. There is no cost for parking.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Yes, we do have a registry with a couple of things, but if you'd like to bring us a gift, a check or cash would give us a lift. Perhaps you could help with our honeymoon spends or when our future home is in need of a mend. Now that we saved you all the fuss, it would be appreciated if you would come celebrate with us!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we will have a hotel block at The Westin Chicago Northwest. Additional details can be found on the travel page of our website.
