FAQs

Question

Where should we fly into?

Answer

The nearest airport is Palermo Airport (PMO), located about 35 minutes from Scopello. We recommend booking flights to Palermo for the most convenient access to our wedding location. From the airport, you can rent a car, or take a taxi to reach your accommodations in Scopello.

Question

Passport & Visa Information

Answer

Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 3 months beyond your travel dates, as passports expiring sooner may not be accepted for entry. Additionally, the ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) is expected to be enforced in 2025. Please check for updates on this process and any visa requirements that may apply closer to your travel date.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we truly love and adore your little ones, we kindly request that our hosted events remain adults-only. If you’re traveling with children, no problem! Please feel free to arrange local childcare or bring a family member or sitter along so you can relax and enjoy the celebration with us.

Question

What is the town like?

Answer

Scopello is a charming and quaint village, perfect for exploring on foot. Once you arrive and settle in at your hotel, you can easily walk to the town center, where you’ll find a handful of cozy restaurants, a coffee shop, gelato stands, and a small market. For larger grocery needs, there’s a full grocery store about a 10-minute drive away.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you’re staying at Hotel La Tavernetta or Baglio di Scopello, we’ll have transportation arranged to and from the venue for all our events. However, if you’d like to explore the area, we recommend having your own transportation so you can come and go as you please. We found renting a car from Palermo Airport to be surprisingly easy, and the drive to Scopello was smooth and straightforward.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Friday – Welcome Dinner: All White Italy Chic Attire Saturday – Wedding: Men Black Tie / Ladies Black Dresses Sunday – Beach Party: Beach Casual/Swimwear

Question

Packing Tips

Answer

• Bring your European outlet adapters – You don’t want to be fighting over one at the hotel! • Order an Italian portable steamer – Trust me, we’ve broken too many trying to use ours from home. The voltage difference is real! Ladies, check your curling irons too. • If you’re making a trip out of Italy, ditch the cute but impractical shoes – You’ll be walking miles every day. Stick to sneakers or ultra-comfy sandals! • Ladies, don’t forget your block heels for wedding events! – Cobblestone streets and stilettos do not mix. A thicker heel will save you from sinking or wobbling all night. • Most importantly – pack your passport! Double-check that it doesn’t expire within 6 months of travel (Italy won’t let you in if it does!). Also, check the Italy ETIAS regulations to see if visas are required before your trip. Can’t wait to celebrate with you all in Sicily! xx
