It all started at Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis back in October 2018. Colton and I met at a show, and my very first impression of him was how sweet and genuinely kind he was. Somehow, I ended up unloading my entire life story to him that night (oops 😅) and instead of running for the hills, that only drew him in more. We stayed friends for about a year before anything romantic began. During that time, we bonded over something, neither of us had seen Game of Thrones. So, to catch up before the finale, we started watching it together. I’d come over after beauty school, we’d binge episodes, and he’d help me study for tests. Somewhere between late night studying and dragons, our friendship started to turn into something more. By October 2019, Colton asked me out on our first official date at Pittsburgh Blue, and the rest is history. Since then, we’ve shared countless adventures, traveling to Europe, taking our dogs to Colorado, celebrating our first anniversary in Chicago, and exploring places like Mexico, Hawaii, and the Dominican Republic with family and friends. We’ve danced through EDM shows and festivals, laughed through comedy shows, gotten lost in the magic of the Renaissance Festival, and spent cozy nights at home playing board games together (and yes, we both get way too competitive 😅). I even managed to drag Colton to a Jonas Brothers concert, a full-circle moment for me since they canceled their tour when I was younger. He was such a good sport about it and it’s now it's one of my favorite memories together. Then, during a romantic bike tour through Bavaria, Colton proposed in front of the breathtaking Neuschwanstein Castle, just the two of us surrounded by the most beautiful views imaginable. It was intimate, romantic, and absolutely perfect. From Skyway Theatre to castles in Germany, our story has been full of laughter, love, and adventure and we can’t wait for the next chapter. ❤️
