They met at Desiree and Brandon Wiltrout's, they were having a gathering of some friends and family as they often did. Rebecca set eyes on Robert and fell in love immediately. Robert had the good looks and a personality to match; not to mention a nice motorcycle. Robert was hesitant at first to approach Rebecca.He didn't want to ruin a friendship with his gym partner if things wouldn't work out. Eventually Robert worked up the courage and asked Rebecca to go on the Nicholson Bike run. Rebecca was ecstatic while accepting the invite. The rest was history.

Robert and Rebecca attended a Cirque Du Soleil show in Pittsburgh accompanied by their mothers, Charlene Ringer and Judy Ballew. After a great show they all went to Mt.Washington. Robert wanted to go to the look out point after dinner. Rebecca was questionable about it; It was freezing and pouring down rain, but she went with it since she has always wanted a date like that. Rebecca didn't realize the date that she always wanted, would turn into the day she has dreamed of for the past 4 years. As they park the car for the scenic few Rebecca was speed walking with her mother by her side yelling "come on sass, come see this. Hurry up, its cold!" Robert was further behind with his mom (Rebecca thought it was because he is terrified of heights) trying to get the ring ready to propose. Rebecca finally turned around to see what was taking so long,and there he was; down on one knee in the pouring rain and freezing cold. Robert was shaking and laughing as he said it..."will you marry me?" Rebecca quickly responded with excitement "YES!", they kissed ,hugged, laughed and then they all ran back to the car to celebrate.
