Now Let's Party!

We have been together for over seven years, so marriage was not a foreign topic to us. Whenever we started thinking about it, eventually we'd get to the idea of an actual wedding and what would it look like. The ideas varied but everything started with a ceremony surrounded by 100 of our closest loved ones. Which sounded wonderful, but between Chris' hatred of public speaking and Trista's intense ability to (over) cry at any emotional situation, a large ceremony terrified both of us. Once we stepped outside of traditions and realized we could do things the way we'd want to, we started coming around to the idea of a wedding. We started thinking about what was and was not important to us. We wanted to be present in the day and be able to take it all in. We didn’t want to get caught up in the worry over color schemes or saying our intimate vows in front of 100+ people. We both agreed that we wanted to feel as comfortable as possible on our special day, and we did! And although many of you weren't there on that freezing cold day by the lake, it doesn't mean we weren't thinking of you and how you've helped us get to where we are today. So now that the emotional and private moments are done, please come celebrate with us! We can’t promise that Trista won’t cry and Chris will still probably not do any public speaking, but let’s come together and have a really fun time!
