Things To Do

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis

3000 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208
, (317) 334-4000

The world’s largest children’s museum is here in Indianapolis, and it’s a can’t-miss attraction. The Sports Legends outdoor exhibit is a hit in the summer with its treehouse, mini-Speedway, and all kinds of sports based on real Indiana teams. Inside, there are exhibits featuring science, history, and an indoor playground for kids under 5. (Note: the Dinosphere is closed until 2022)

Indianapolis Zoo

Indianapolis Zoo

1200 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222
, (317) 630-2001

The Indianapolis Zoo has lots to see both indoors and outdoors. The underwater dolphin viewing area, the up-close looks at orangutans and tigers, the sloths, and the brand-new reptile exhibit are the best to check out.

Monument Circle

Monument Circle

Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN 46204

It wouldn’t be a visit to the Circle City without checking out the actual circle. See the light show in the evening or enjoy restaurants and shopping during the day.

Colts Canal Playspace

Colts Canal Playspace

701 Canal Walk, Indianapolis, IN 46202
, (317) 327-7275

Take a walk on the canal and enjoy the sites. Check out the modern playground, paddle boat rentals, or bike rentals too!

The Garage Food Hall

The Garage Food Hall

906 Carrollton Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202
, (317) 556-1252

The Garage Food Hall, adjacent to Bottleworks Hotel, is part of the redevelopment of the former Coca-Cola bottling plant. There are more than a dozen restaurants and shops inside the garage. We especially like The Harbour’s fish and chips, any wild flavor at Lick’s ice cream, the lobster roll at JJ’s Lobster, and burgers from Clancy’s.

Baby's Indy

Baby's Indy

2147 North Talbott Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202
, (317) 600-3559

Locally owned restaurant with a great patio and a menu for adults and kids alike. Smash burgers, loaded fries, broasted chicken, and milkshakes (boozy ones if you’re feeling fancy.)

Nicey Treat

Nicey Treat

916 East Westfield Boulevard, Indianapolis, IN 46220
, (317) 602-6423

Pete’s Pick: Gourmet popsicles in natural flavors. Pete likes the plain peanut butter, but that’s probably because he can’t have it dipped in chocolate. #becausenicematters

Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream

Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream

427 Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 600-3429

Peyton and Jack’s Pick: Choose your own ice cream flavor and mix-ins and watch it freeze before your eyes!
