The world’s largest children’s museum is here in Indianapolis, and it’s a can’t-miss attraction. The Sports Legends outdoor exhibit is a hit in the summer with its treehouse, mini-Speedway, and all kinds of sports based on real Indiana teams. Inside, there are exhibits featuring science, history, and an indoor playground for kids under 5. (Note: the Dinosphere is closed until 2022)
The Indianapolis Zoo has lots to see both indoors and outdoors. The underwater dolphin viewing area, the up-close looks at orangutans and tigers, the sloths, and the brand-new reptile exhibit are the best to check out.
It wouldn’t be a visit to the Circle City without checking out the actual circle. See the light show in the evening or enjoy restaurants and shopping during the day.
Take a walk on the canal and enjoy the sites. Check out the modern playground, paddle boat rentals, or bike rentals too!
The Garage Food Hall, adjacent to Bottleworks Hotel, is part of the redevelopment of the former Coca-Cola bottling plant. There are more than a dozen restaurants and shops inside the garage. We especially like The Harbour’s fish and chips, any wild flavor at Lick’s ice cream, the lobster roll at JJ’s Lobster, and burgers from Clancy’s.
