Welcome to Our love story

Riley & Scott went to Wayne Hills High School together and Riley was Scotts Varsity Cheerleader Senior year. This is where their story began. Every Thursday Riley would decorate Scotts house and deliver delicious baked goods for him and his family. Then, they only knew Riley as the cheerleader who baked and decorated before Friday games. It was the perfect beginning to their love story.

After Football season ended, Scott and Riley still spent a lot of time together. Scott decided to ask Riley to prom.. who knew this would be the first proposal he would ever do.

Riley & Scott went to prom together on June 14th 2018. Riley wore a beautiful white dress not knowing that almost 8 years later she would be trying on THE white dress to marry the same guy she went to prom with. This was the first time Riley & Scotts 2 families united. The Fischgrunds went to the Garcia house to take photos of their children going to prom. Since then their has been countless celebrations with the 2 families together.

Although Riley & Scott did not attend the same college, they made it through 4 years of long distance. Riley was an honorary Terp, with her many trips down to the University of Maryland. They got to experience college together and make lifelong friends. The universe has a funny way of working and Riley & Scott graduated from college on the exact same day. Rileys graduation was in NJ at 9am, she was surrounded by family and took a jello shot in the parking lot (if you know, you know) After getting her diploma, she said goodbye to her family and got right on the road. She arrived at UMD around 5:30 pm, just enough time to see Scott graduate at 6pm. It was a perfect day for both of them.

Riley & Scott finally moved in together in November of 2024. The long distance officially came to an end!!!! Since November 2024 they have already filled their apartment with so much love & laughter. Hosting as many events for family and friends as possible. Riley and Scott love having people over but they also enjoy just having each others company. They sit on their couch and talk talk talk. Starting their journey in NYC has been such an amazing experience so far for them.

Fast forward to March 22, 2025.. There's a lot to fit in to 8 years and there's so much more, but this was the best day of their lives! The day Scott proposed was nothing short of perfect. Riley & Scott were supposed to be going for brunch, little did Riley know she was not getting the Eggs Benedict she was excited for... but something way better!!! They were surrounded by family and friends and got to celebrate their love all weekend long. And so the Wedding planning began!
