Travel Note
We recommend that guests stay in Sitges, a charming coastal town about 25 miles southwest of Barcelona. Known for its golden beaches, vibrant energy, and relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, Sitges is the perfect home base for the celebration. The bride, groom, and wedding party will also be staying there, and it’s where we’ll host a welcome event on September 2nd and a day-after celebration on September 4th. If you’re flying in, the most convenient airport is Barcelona–El Prat (BCN). Our ceremony and reception will be held at Castell de Tamarit, a stunning 11th-century castle overlooking the Costa Dorada. The venue is about a 30-minute drive from Sitges, and we’ll be coordinating transportation to and from the venue for all guests. If you prefer to drive, there is ample parking available on-site. It’s our hope that this trip isn’t just about the wedding, but also a chance to relax, explore, and experience the beauty of Spain (or beyond!). If you’re thinking of turning it into a longer adventure, Riley has plenty of recommendations for where to go, what to eat, and how to make the most of your time in Europe. Don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d love to help you plan something unforgettable.
