A Tinder Success Story

Once upon a time… Riley was driving to Pittsburgh, PA to spend time with friends from high school that she had not spent time with in six years. Riley really shouldn’t have went to this friend reunion because she’d been sick for weeks, but against her better judgement she decided against it and journeyed on. While Riley was driving through the NW Pennsylvania border, Scott saw Riley on Tinder while he was working night shift at Aqua in Sharon, PA. (Yes, he really was swiping on Tinder while he was at work) Scott swiped right on Riley, and slid in her messages with the pick up line, “Our kids would have beautiful eyes.” They had their first date a week later, and after the best first date either one of them had been on, they decided they never wanted to go on another first date again. Now if you don’t know how Tinder works, let me explain. A person has to be within a certain mile radius in order for them to populate on the other person’s Tinder profile. Scott decided that 50 miles was all he would be willing to travel for a date, and when Riley was within 50 miles of him for a brief period of time (driving through NW Pennsylvania for an hour that fateful night) Scott noticed Riley because he was on the app during that specific time. Riley shouldn’t have went to Pennsylvania because she was sick, and he shouldn’t have been on the app because he was working, but because of those circumstances, the two matched. This match was serendipitous, as if the world was working to bring us together, as if there was an invisible string pulling them together. Thank you, Tinder.
