During Saint Mary's Eucharistic procession we were introduced to one another solely because we had the same name. Almost an entire year went by without us talking to one another, then after the Connect retreat I (Riley) reached out to Reilly. We would text one another, sit together at daily mass, go to Magnify together, and then finally Reilly asked me on a date. It went well and we went on two more before making it official! I met Riley at a Eucharistic Procession on campus. I remember meeting her briefly then turning around and hearing her pass out behind me. About a year later, I got a text from a random number saying, "Is your license plate number...." I was pretty confused and when I asked who it was, she said "your mom". I finally figured out who it was and Riley quickly made sure I knew it was about to be the anniversery of when we met. I remember being confused why she knew that, but then pieced together it must be because she has spent a year with a crush on me before she finally built up the courage to talk to me. After texting, talking, and going to HEB together, I knew I wanted to ask her out. I wanted to do it in person, so I brought her to Sonic, and the rest is history... *Disclaimer Riley did not actually faint but we joke that she did due to her being so smitten*

We had our first date out at POV Coffee at 7:00 a.m. Neither of our schedules worked for a date later in the day so we decided on a morning date. So, Reilly came and picked me up and we drove out to POV, ordered coffee and then climbed up the stairs to watch the sunrise. It was freezing out though so we didn't last long up there. Our date lasted about an hour before we had to get our days started, but we both knew we'd be going on a second date soon.
