What should I wear?

Answer

We invite guests to dress in Formal Floral Attire, embracing colorful and sophisticated looks. We kindly request a suit or dress shirt and tie in any color, a knee-length or floor-length cocktail dress, or a nice pantsuit. To ensure our wedding aesthetic remains special, we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing white, cream, or green.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly request that all guests arrive and be seated by 1:50 PM. To ensure a smooth arrival, we recommend allowing extra time for potential traffic and parking challenges. If you are traveling on the day of the wedding, plan to leave approximately 30 minutes earlier than you normally would. Please note that late arrivals may be asked to wait outside until the ceremony doors are reopened.

Where should I park?

Answer

There are two designated parking lots for St. Mary's church. From Ohio River Blvd, turn onto Eight Street, left onto Merchant Street, then right onto Ninth street. Please park in this parking lot and follow the signs to the church. For handicap parking or Church entrance please follow the directions above and turn left at the parking lot. Follow the signs to the church and handicap entrance. For the reception, please follow GPS instructions to 144 New Galilee Rd. Darlington, Pa 16115

Why is there a big gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

To capture the couple's special moments, we're taking time between the ceremony and reception for wedding party and couple portraits. This allows us to create beautiful memories without rushing, while giving guests a chance to relax and transition between events.

What should I do in my free time?

Answer

During the gap between the ceremony and the reception, we suggest guests grab a coffee at Merchant Coffee Co next door and check into their hotels. There are also multiple options for guests on our "Things to Do" tab. Check them out!

Can I bring a date/my kids?

Answer

Unfortunately, we can only accommodate the guests listed on the invitation.

Is there an Open Bar?

Answer

Yes, there is an open bar. However, all liquor based drinks must have a mixer. There is a strict no shots policy at our venue.

Is there a Hotel Block?

Answer

Yes, we have hotel blocks through the Hilton Garden Inn Beaver Valley in Monaca, Pa and the Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry, Pa. Please look at our Travel page to find our codes/link. Hotel Block rooms come at a first come-first serve basis.

Will there be a provided shuttle?

Answer

Unfortunately, there will not be a shuttle provided for guests. Please think ahead regarding transportation. If you need to, please call an Uber/Lyft and leave your car at The Gathering Place. You can pick up your car the following morning anytime before 12 PM.
