Take the Streetcar to the farmer's market on Saturday morning. Order the "Cajun" at Beignet and a cannoli at Carollo's. 
Then order another for us.

City Market

The Nelson has free admission and a giant sculpture of a badminton birdie in the lawn that you can't touch. Trust us. Riley hasn't been much since he lost interest in Pokemon GO, but it's still a really nice museum.

Get the Blended Bee, and then take a walk to Westwood Park. Be sure to dramatically lay in the grass a couple of times and demand to be carried back to the car as an homage to Ava.

This is our favorite diner in Kansas City. One time we got a free cinnamon roll. We recommend Peterman's Corned Beef Hash, the Egg and Cheese Biscuit Sandwich, and sitting next to a group that accidentally ordered too many cinnamon rolls.

We're honestly not sure how we feel about all the cultural exotification, but we know how we feel about the "Daylight Come" and "Don's Own Grog"
