They matched on Tinder in October of 2023, both not really expecting to find "the one". Riley had swiped on Mattilyn's profile first, so when she thought he was cute and swiped on his, it was a match! They chatted online for about a month before they finally met. Riley came over to Mattilyn's apartment, where Mattilyn immediatley made fun of Riley to break the awkwardness. A couple months later, in January Riley told Mattilyn he loved her for the first time! She ended up professing her love for him too- when you know, you know! Riley and Mattilyn became "official" on 03.02.24, after he had met her family and friends. They moved in together in May of 2024, and became engaged on 12.28.24, shortly after Riley got out of the Navy. They like to binge watch Netflix shows together, spend time with each other's families (even though spending time with Riley's family requires a flight to California), Mattie likes to watch Riley play softball on the weekends, they like to go to the movies and hangout with friends. Mattilyn and Riley are so lucky to have met, and are so happy they are able to share the life they have created together for forever!
