It all began in 2015, when Riley was a junior in high school and Matthew was a senior. Little did either of us know at the time, our story had roots that stretched back much further. Years before we met, our family’s already knew each other well. They shared weekends together in Saratoga, spending time at the racetrack near Matthew’s Uncle Chris’s house. It’s funny to think our families were already intertwined before we ever crossed paths. By February 2016, we officially started dating, and what began as young love quickly grew into something lasting. We went on to attend SUNY Cortland together, where we both competed on the track team, spending countless hours training and competing. In September 2024, on a vacation to Lake Havasu, Arizona, Matthew made our next chapter official. During a sunset ATV ride surrounded by the desert views, he asked Riley to marry him—and of course, she said yes! In September 2026, when we say “I do,” it will mark 10 years together—a full decade of love, laughter, and growing side by side. From high school sweethearts to college teammates to soon-to-be husband and wife, reaching this moment feels both surreal and so perfectly right. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by all of you.
