You can actually call Riley and Kaylee high school sweethearts. During Riley’s freshman and Kaylee’s sophomore year of high school they met through mutual friends. Riley and Kaylee got to know each other by playing cards at the lunch table together. They became good friends but actually got close a year later when Riley randomly decided to start up a conversation with Kaylee on Snapchat. After a month of talking and hanging out they went out to eat on their first unofficial date. On the ride back from the restaurant Riley finally asked Kaylee to be his girlfriend… of course Kaylee said yes!

When Riley and Kaylee first started dating they went on their first road trip together to go see waterfalls in the upper part of the state. In 2023 they decided they wanted to do it again! So after the Fourth of July they woke up early to start another waterfall adventure. They drove 2 hours away from home and finally got to the first waterfall out of 4. At the first stop they got bit up by mosquitoes since they both forgot to pack bug spray. After rushing out of there they moved onto the second waterfall. At the second waterfall there was nobody but them, and thankfully no mosquitoes. Kaylee set up her phone on the tripod to get some pictures together. They were posing for pictures when Kaylee got distracted looking at the waterfall. She turned around to see that Riley was down on one knee! He asked Kaylee to marry him and she said “YES! Of course I will!!”
