Although Riley and Jordyn were born in the same hospital and delivered by the same doctor, they grew up worlds apart in separate states on opposite ends of the country. It was in the summer that they would first meet when Jordyn was eleven years old and Riley was nine. Not much was said between them though as Jordyn was too shy. Eleven years later, in the summer of Ohio, they met once again at a winery and this time the words flowed like wine. Jordyn was only visiting for the summer but what was supposed to be just a friendship quickly turned into something much more as they fell in love.
As a graduation present to Riley, Jordyn took her to her favorite place, Washington DC. Unbeknownst to Riley, this trip held more than historic monuments, museums, and delicious food. One night after dinner as they were walking the romantic streets of DC, Riley thought Jordyn was navigating them back to their hotel. She also thought that maybe he was lost until they arrived not at the hotel but at the Kennedy Center and he showed her that they had tickets to a Broadway musical. They went in with excitement and Jordyn with nerves as he had a secret plan for that night. Once the intermission arrived, Jordyn suggested to Riley that they check out the roof of the Kennedy Center as it is known to have an amazing view of the city. They hurried to the top and found the roof to be completely empty. They were the only ones up there and as Riley marveled at the city lights, Jordyn got down on one knee and proposed. They both teared up and laughed and she said yes. Then they ran back down just in time to make it for the second act.
