Our Story

2022 - FOREVER

BreAnn and Riley’s story started in a way only God could have planned during their freshman year, through mutual friends in a community service program called Ignite. At the time, it just felt like shared moments and being around the same group, but looking back, it was the quiet beginning of something that would change both of their lives. Their first date was simple, but it felt easy in all the right ways. They spent the day shopping for Riley’s fraternity events, then went to Walk-On’s for dinner, and ended the night with ice cream from La Michoacana. It wasn’t anything over the top, but it was one of those days where everything just felt right. Not long after, their story took a turn they’ll always remember. They made a deal that if Tennessee beat Florida at home for the first time in years, they would make it official. If not, they’d wait until the next day. Thankfully, the Vols pulled off the win, and they didn’t wait another second. In the middle of all the excitement, they stepped into a relationship that already felt so natural. Some of their favorite memories came during those college years, especially the Alabama game. When the Vols won at home, they rushed the field together, surrounded by thousands of people but somehow still in their own little moment. Laughing, celebrating, and even getting to touch the goalpost, it’s a memory they hold close to their hearts. But more than anything, what has shaped their relationship the most is their shared love for the Lord. Riley leads a group of boys, and BreAnn serves on the worship team, and both have found so much joy in serving. They each spent summers away at camp, pouring into the next generation and growing in their own faith. Being apart during those times wasn’t easy, but it’s something God used to strengthen their relationship and deepen their love for each other. Over time, they built a life full of moments big and small through formals, trips, concerts, and just doing life side by side. One of the sweetest parts of their story came the summer before their senior year, Maverick. After years of BreAnn asking for a dog, she met him while home one weekend and instantly knew he was meant to be theirs. On May 18, 2025, they brought him home, and from that day on, he became their best little companion and a huge part of their everyday life. Then came one of the most meaningful weekends of BreAnn’s life - her “Gotcha Day. Weekend.” It’s always been something really special to her and her family, and to Riley too. Months before, he had suggested doing a family photoshoot, something that felt thoughtful, but also quietly intentional. As the weekend came, it was filled with time spent with family, laughter, and memories being made yet BreAnn had no idea just how much her life was about to change. On February 7, 2026, Riley took her to a park and onto a bridge they had visited together two years before. A place that already meant something to them, now about to mean even more. Surrounded by their families, and with Maverick right there beside them, Riley got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. It was everything she ever dreamed of-intentional, personal, and so full of love. The day didn’t stop there. Riley had planned a surprise engagement party with all of their closest friends and family. The rest of the night was full of so much joy, laughter, and celebration for the start of their Forever! It was the kind of day you wish you could relive over and over again. Looking back on the past three and a half years, BreAnn and Riley are most grateful for how faithful God has been through every season. In the joyful moments, the hard ones, the distance, and the growth He has been at the center of it all. They can’t wait to keep building a life together and to see the story He is still writing for their future.
