Question

Where the heck are you guys getting married?

Answer

We are getting married at the GORGEOUS Amphitheater of the Redwoods at Pema Osa Ling. The wedding venue shares a space with a Buddhist retreat deep in the Santa Cruz mountains. Annie, Riley, and some other close friends and family will be staying on the premises the entire weekend, and even if you aren't staying with us, you are more than welcome to hang with us as long as you'd like! This venue has a lot of space, so feel free to bring camp chairs, lawn games, and blankets if you are planning on staying for more than just the ceremony and reception. After the rehearsal dinner and reception, there is a campfire spot that we plan to hang around.

Question

Is there any important things to know about the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is ABSOLUTELY no smoking or vaping ANY substance on the premises. We apologize for the inconvenience this imposes but we can lose our deposit if you don't comply. We also strongly recommend you enter and exit the venue from the south. You can access the venue from the north, but the drive is a bit scary, especially at night. If you are staying overnight at the venue, we recommend you bring: - Toiletries - Insulated Cups/Mugs - Rain Gear - Bug Repellent - Flashlight - Waterbottle

Question

Can I bring anyone to this shindig?

Answer

Plus ones are allowed pending approval from Annie and/or Riley. We want to keep this occasion between special people. That includes people who are special to our special people (if that makes sense). Partner of three years? Ay-ok! A person you had a great second date with? Probably not.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not really! We appreciate a certain level of formality but dress in whichever way you'd like. A word of caution: March in the Santa Cruz mountains can get quite chilly and there may be rain in the forecast. Be sure to plan accordingly.

Question

What is the food situation?

Answer

All of the catering will be done by the Amphitheater of the Redwoods. This will include a rehearsal dinner on Friday night, an exquisite buffet for the reception, and a farewell brunch on Sunday morning. We personally are going to set up a continental situation for Saturday breakfast (expept Costco poppyseed muffins). You are welcome to bring your own personal snacks. We are putting our best efforts into providing a menu that accommodates all dietary restrictions, but if you are concerned, please reach out to Annie or Riley and we'll work with you.

Question

Will there be booze?

Answer

Oh yeah, baby. We'll be providing beer and wine for the reception. If you are spending longer on the campus, you are welcome to bring a personal cooler of libations to enjoy around the campfires at night.

Question

We would love to give you a wedding gift!

Answer

We sincerely appreciate that! We aren't doing a traditional registry and instead, are opting for a honeymoon fund. We are planning on taking our honeymoon in Japan in 2025.

Question

This FAQ is embarrassingly insufficient! I have way more questions!

Answer

Sorry! I tried my best. If you have any more questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Annie or Riley directly.
