We knew about each other but had never spoken. One night, we were scheduled to work together in the concession stands. A couple of our coworkers teased us to get us together. By the end of the night, Riley gave his phone number to Alex, and then things began to fall into place.

Riley took Alex to look at rings one afternoon and found the one. Riley wanted to propose in a field of bluebonnets but thought it would be obvious, so he decided to ask his best friend, Jeremy, and his wife, Rebekah, for "cute" spots to propose at. He had Rebekah text in a group chat asking if we wanted to go to the Waterwall in Houston for a fun afternoon. Alex had a feeling that Riley was going to propose but didn't say anything about it to Riley. On the day of the proposal, Alex definitely knew Riley was going to propose because Riley was acting extremely nervous. Once we all arrived, Riley and Alex took a couple of pictures as they normally would, and then Riley decided to pull the ring out and get on his knee to pop the question!
