Wedding Party

Meet our loved ones who are helping us through our special day! We love each and every one of you so much and are so grateful to have you standing beside us.

Emma Parrish

Maid of Honor

Emma and I have been friends since 5th grade, and she has stood by my side through so many life events. There was really only one option for who I'd entrust with the title of Maid of Honor on one of the most important days of my life. Emma almost didn't stick around after my dad pretended to interrogate her at 10 years old as a joke, but he loves her. This will forever be my favorite story because the poor girl was terrified. My grandparents Sue and Eddie also love Emma as one of their own and always invited her into their home with open arms. They still light up almost 15 years later when she walks in the door to see them. Emma has always been part of the family, and I know she'll be apart of the family Alex and I are building as well. Em, I love you and thank you so much for always being there when it matters the most. 10 year old Riley and Emma wouldn't believe this day is quickly approaching!

Sydney Nix

Bridesmaid

The best way to describe Sydney is a ray of light. This girl is such a hard worker and has such a beautiful soul. You just can't help but light up when you're around her. Sydney and I have literally grown up together. When you have a family as big as the Nix's, you're bound to have a cousin (or like seven idek) close in age! Thankfully, I got to grow up with Syd. From park play dates and mountain house cousin adventures as little girls, to Aunt Jade's Annual Halloween bash as teenagers, high school, graduation parties, college sendoffs, and now a wedding as adults. It's so crazy to think back on all the times we've had together. I look forward to our kids growing up together the way we did. I'm so grateful we were born into a family that stays so close and who I know I can call for anything at all. Syd, I love you and am so excited to have you with me on this very special day!

Faith Thompson

Bridesmaid

My first memory of Faith is walking into Alex's family Thanksgiving for the first time and thinking "Mmm I'm pretty sure I went to high school with her." At first Faith was quiet, but still so welcoming. The more I came around, the more she opened up, and now I'm so grateful for the relationship we have. Faith is one of the most kind hearted people I know and it has been such a blessing to get to know her not only as my soon to be sister-in-law but as a sister in Christ. Through all of her own wedding planning she was still there to help me when I asked, and give advice when I needed it. Faith, thank you for being so welcoming and I look forward to all the family celebrations. God always knows what he's doing because I'm not sure I could survive the guy conversations without you and Courtney! I'm so excited to not only support you on your special day, but to have your support (and prayers) as I marry your brother. We love you!

Courtney Rebis

Bridesmaid

My first time meeting Courtney was very shortly after she married Alex's brother Paul. Coming into a family where there was recently a wedding can be a bit intimidating, but Courtney helped welcome me with open arms. As soon as we started talking that first time, I knew we'd get along and I had nothing to worry about. As time went on and I got to know her better, I realized we are very similar and I was gaining yet another sister. I was also gaining insider status for all embarrassing family stories. Courtney, I look forward to the future sister chats with you and Faith on one of our porches while the guys do who knows what. Thank you for all of the support you've given and encouragement that I can handle marrying into the family (lol I'm just kidding no encouragement needed). I know you've been apart of Alex's life for a long time, and I'm so excited and honored to have you stand with me on our special day! We love you!

Dawson Byerly

Best Man

When I first met Dawson, I was in my freshman year of high school and we did not get along at all. We were on opposite sides of the cloth and got into a bit of a wrestling match in class! Then my sophomore year we sat right next to each other in English class. We have been thick as thieves ever since, and now he is my best man. Thank you for joining us on the most important day of my life!

Paul Rebis

Groomsman

Paul is my big brother. He has been my guardian angel more times than not and anytime I’ve needed him he has dropped what he was doing to help me. Growing up we were always getting into trouble and finding ways out of it. When we were at his wedding we had a blast so I figured why not have him in mine ;). Thank you for joining us on the most important day of my life!

Steven Krause

Groomsman

This is Steven and he’s a huge goof ball. He always has something to say, which is not my favorite part of him lol. That being said he is one of the best men I have met in my life and has a heart of gold. Any time I have called for help, or needed some advice, he was there and I’ll never forget that (even though he is the one person that can get me all worked up!) Whether it be day drinking and bar hopping, or sitting around the fire and chatting, it’s always a great time. Thank you for joining us on the most important day of my life !

Paul Krause

Groomsman

This Paul is my cousin. When I was a kid he use to tease me and play around all the time, but was always there if I needed help. As I have grown up, we have become incredibly close and I consider him to be a brother. From the late night chats, to the cigar lounges, we always have a great time! Thank you for joining us on the most important day of my life!
