What is the dress code?

Answer

If you're looking for an "official" answer - semi-formal. We want to keep the vibes high and stress low. No need to get suited-up, but save the tank tops and shorts for beach.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5PM, so please be on the rooftop and seated before then. The venue will start allowing guests up to the rooftop at 4:30. We highly recommend planning to arrive before 4:30, if driving, to allow time for parking. [See parking FAQ for more info].

Where do I park?

Answer

The venue is located across from La Jolla Cove, a popular tourist destination. Therefore, parking may not be an easy feat, even on a Thursday. There is street parking near the venue, but may take some time to find a spot. This website has multiple parking structures around La Jolla: https://lajollabythesea.com/visitor-info/ For those travelling from out of town and staying in hotels/air B&Bs or living nearby, we highly recommend ridesharing (Uber, Lift) to the venue.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

I'm guessing most of you clicked on this question first... YES, there will be an open bar with a variety of beers, wine, and liquor. Top shelf beverages can be purchased at an additional charge. If you will be participating in said open bar, please remember: - Bring cash to tip the bartenders (not sure if they will have Venmo as an option) - Have a plan ready to get home safely - designated driver, ride sharing, or stay in the area

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes! We have the patio space at Hennessey's Tavern (2 blocks from the venue) from 10PM to 2AM.

Is there an itinerary or program? What should I expect?

Answer

Expect to have a great time! We don't see the need to provide a program, but for a general gist of how the event will go, see below: - Ceremony: 5-5:30PM - Cocktail Hour (appetizers and open bar): 5:30 - 6:30PM - Dinner: 7PM - Dance floor opens: 8PM - Bar last call: 9:15PM - Exit: 9:55PM - AFTER PARTY: 10PM - 2AM [Hennessey's Tavern - 2 blocks from the venue]

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are so fortunate to have our special day at such an amazing location. However, that comes with some strings attached - one of which being limited to only guests on our guest list. Please do not bring a +1 unless already invited. The venue requires security onto the rooftop that will be checking the guest list.
