We met poolside at the wonderful Marriott Hotel in Tampa, Florida. I saw this handsome man walking by my lounge chair and all I saw were these golden brown legs with the whitest feet i've ever seen. Of course in that moment I had to say something witty to get his attention. I proceeded to blurt out, "You really need to stop tanning with your socks on". It didn't quite go as I anticipated, however, as you can see he couldn't resist my witty charm.
Let us talk about spontaneity... It was fate to have found a reservation, that same day mind you for 5 people at 7 PM on a Saturday, at the most popular and iconic southern restaurant in all of Savannah called The Olde Pink House. We were lucky to not only have my mother, Carmela, in town but also our friends Tyler and Kara Kamide to share in this momentous occasion. While we were waiting for our yummy appetizers to arrive, Alex decided to excuse himself to use the "restroom". As Alex returned to the table, shortly after the commencement of the appetizers, I happened to be mid bite as he hesitates to sit back into his seat next to me. I definitely thought something was up but yet again it wasn't stopping me from continuing to eat my delicious food. He then starts to touch my shoulder, as I'm chewing away, and proceeds to say "I am not good at making public speeches". As he gets down on one knee, he finishes his "speech" with "Will you marry me?". Nearly choking on my food, licking my fingers, and crying at the same time, I ultimately said yes! I couldn't have asked for a more special and unique proposal.
