Our story is one you may say sounds like something you would expect from a Hallmark Movie and anyone who knows me (Kayla) knows that Hallmark Movies are my favorite. Tony and I met in February 2016 at the Riverside Elementary School Valentines Day Dance. Just a Mom with her Son and a Dad with his Daughter. Fate brought us together that day, or maybe it was because I’m always late, but either way when we arrived for dinner there were no seats left and Tony offered up his seat for Landon and I. We chatted throughout the evening and even exchanged numbers a few weeks later at another school function when I offered to paint him a wine glass with a guitar and sunset. For the next 3 years I would be known as Kayla – Wine Glasses. Although I wish our story would have began right there the timing was not right for us. It wouldn’t be until a whole year later at the exact same Valentine’s Day Dance that our story would really begin, February 9th, 2017. From the moment we met again our relationship took off in a whirlwind. Our first date was out in the woods where we had a fire, Duplin Wine (Brice’s Creek), and danced under the stars. (I may have also ruined his red Converses that day) We laughed, we talked, we had what I would consider one of the best nights of my life. From that moment forward I knew this man was the one I would spend the rest of my life with. This year on February 9th, 2023 we celebrated 6 years together. As an extension of our love and the day that brought us together we will be getting married on June 29th, 2023. The 6th month for our six years and the 29th for February 9th (2/9). We can not wait to celebrate our love and the next chapter in our lives with you!
