Masks are not required for guests who are vaccinated against Covid-19. If you are not vaccinated, please be prepared to wear a mask in Church during the ceremony. Masks are only required during the ceremony and are not required on the shuttles or during the reception, regardless of vaccination. We will continue to update the mask requirements and other Covid-19 related guidelines on our wedding website when/if there are any additional changes leading up to the wedding day.
Our venues and vendors are following all state and local restrictions and guidelines pertaining to Covid-19. Masks are required only during the ceremony for non-vaccinated guests. Social distancing and other restrictions not currently required but we want you to feel comfortable attending our wedding. The church's capacity well exceeds our guest list so this allows more than enough room for you to distance yourself if you are not comfortable being seating indoors in a large crowd. There is also a lot of space to spread out and remain outdoors at the reception. We will continue to monitor the guidelines and will adjust our plans accordingly. Keep checking back for changes and updates!
We hope that our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite cocktail attire!
In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.
We invite you to be truly present with us during our nuptials with an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that phones and cameras remain out of sight until the conclusion of the ceremony. We will happily share our professional photos with you after the wedding!
The ceremony will be held in a church with air conditioning. We have a non-traditional reception venue with a unique layout. Cocktail hour will take place outside right on/along the Allegheny River. We suggest enjoying the docks but there is also a shaded patio and an indoor temperature controlled bar area. The reception area is partially open air. You'll be out of the sun and hopefully enjoying a cool breeze coming off of the river. After dinner we invite you to enjoy the AC on the dance floor or by the bar!
Yes, there is parking available at both locations. Please note that vehicles are not permitted to be left overnight in the reception venue parking lot. Don't drink and drive! We have a shuttle service available for all guests that will run continuously from the Hotel Monaco to the reception and back. Parking is complimentary at the church and at the reception venue. Valet and self-parking options are available at/nearby the hotel. Visit the travel page for more information.
We suggest using this time to check in at the hotel if you are planning to stay the night! Otherwise, feel free to head back to the hotel and grab at drink at the Commoner or on the rooftop Biergarten or explore Downtown before you hop on the shuttles to the reception!
Yes! We've secured a block of rooms at the Hotel Monaco in Downtown Pittsburgh. Check out the travel section for details on how to reserve a discounted room within our block.
We have included a space for you to include your dietary restrictions on your RSVP response card so that our caterer is prepared to accommodate your needs. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you are concerned about your allergies or want to discuss your options further.
We'd love to kick off the weekend with an informal drink or two following the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening (location TBD). There will also be an after party at the hotel bar following the reception.
