One of my dearest friends and favourite people, Alia is someone that I am honoured to have by my side. She’s been by mine for years now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether it had been a broken heart, broken bones, or anything else that would take time to heal, Alia has been my support. She has this innate ability to make everyone around her feel welcome, important, and heard. That warm personality is something I have always admired. It may sound terrible on my part, but when Caleb proposed and planning was taking off, I didn’t even properly ask her to be my Maid if Honour! Her role in my wedding had been assumed long before I had a ring on my finger.

Dan is the kind of friend that embodies Proverbs 17:17. He has been there with me and for me through my highs and my lows, always ready to fight my corner and support me at those times when I need it the most. Over the years, close friends have come and gone, but Dan is the one that has always been that constant throughout the years and that’s why I wanted him to be my best man.

It is so rare for someone to become an instant, lifelong friend. Beth has had my best interest in mind from the moment we met, and she hasn’t stopped looking out for me since-that’s just the sort of person she is. I am beyond grateful to have someone so genuine in my life. Her loyal love and support are things that I am not certain I could cope without, and I would not want to imagine my wedding day without her. After all, Beth is the one who encouraged Caleb and I to pursue our feelings for one another! She has been such a blessing to both of us and her presence in my life is irreplaceable.

Despite not knowing him for very long, Alex quickly became one of my closest friends. He’s probably the coolest guy I know, mainly because of the northern accent. We always have a good laugh together and tend to bore everyone around us with our rambling on about our deep love of the Arctic Monkeys, guitar gear and cameras. Alex is the kind of guy that you can always turn to for support and sound advice and I count myself lucky to have him as a friend.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve looked up to Alyson. I could hardly credit who I am now without her. Her kind personality and demeanour have been an important influence throughout my life. She is one of the few people that I can always trust to understand me, no matter what. Knowing that I will have a true friend in my sister, despite how many years or miles may separate us, is something that I will always treasure.

I’ve known Noah ever since he was born, and it’s fair to say he’s my favourite brother. He’s always the funniest guy in the room, constantly leaving myself and those around us in stitches, especially after a couple of G&Ts. Although we don’t always get along, annoying each other constantly, and me no doubt being the embarrassing older brother at times, we have a bond that will be there forever, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The love I have for him is one that I will never fully be able to convey, but I love him, and I’m thankful that I’ve had him as my brother.
