Courtney and Andrew have since learned they likely crossed paths many times while living in Pacific Beach, like two ships passing in the night. The night they can pinpoint these ships met was in January 2019 at a What So Not concert in downtown San Diego. Andrew thought Courtney looked familiar and Courtney thought Andrew looked cute. There was dancing, drinks and chicken wings (of course). Sadly, no phone numbers were exchanged. Fast forward a few months, and their paths crossed again at Spin (IYKYK). More sparks flew and luckily phone numbers were exchanged this time. The deal was all but sealed when they both found themselves at Splash House a few weeks later. The rest is history.

Courtney and Andrew both have many strengths; patience is not one of Courtney's and planning is not one of Andrew's. This made the lead up to the proposal... comical. Once Courtney found out Andrew's proposal plans were foiled not one but TWO times, it was even more comical. After a change to NYE plans and then Courtney getting sick, the actual proposal day arrived. It was a seemingly normal Friday, besides Andrew sweating the whole day. Once they closed their laptops, they went to their favorite local bar and had a few drinks. Having a great time, dinner got pushed later and later. They went back home and Andrew cooked pork chops (Courtney's favorite meal). Anxiously awaiting the end of the meal, Courtney thought it was the perfect time to go on and on about an irrelevant topic. Finally, the time had come. After asking Courtney to wash her hands to make sure they were clean for the ring (the same thing Andrew's dad asked his mom to do before popping the question!), he got down on one knee. Courtney was shocked, thrilled and speechless... until she said YES! Awaiting the big moment, Courtney's best friend was circling the parking lot for 45 minutes while Courtney was rambling through dinner. Once she got the greenlight from Andrew, she arrived with champagne, flowers and ballons to help celebrate the happy couple!
