Why Hilton Head?

Answer

The long-running joke is that HHI is where people from Ohio go on vacation. As such, Jenn grew up coming to the Island every summer and the Ridd family re-started the tradition of a nearly-yearly family beach trip over 10 years ago. Upon Josh's first time visiting the Island he proclaimed it, "Pretty chill, I guess" - high praise from Josh! When it came time to decide where we wanted to throw a celebration with our family and friends we decided a fun, casual beach party fit us perfectly.

Why the Dunes House?

Answer

This beach bar is a staple of our beach vacations - a trip to Hilton Head always starts with a Landshark at the Dunes House. When we discovered that the Dunes House hosted weddings, we loved the idea of celebrating in a place we can return to time and again. We are so glad that our friends get to experience this venue with us. (Visit it during lunch one day for excellent fish tacos or a Greek salad with local shrimp!)

How big is the wedding?

We are excited to celebrate with our close family and friends and are keeping the wedding celebration to 50 people to be able to spend time with everyone.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your family, but due to a desire to keep the event small (and the proximity to open water) we request no one under 18 attend without a special invite from the Bride or Groom.

What should I wear?

Answer

We aren't fussy - you don't need to be either! Please note that the wedding is on the beach (yes, this means sandy toes) and the reception is also outdoors at a beach bar. A sundress and sandals, or nice shorts and collared shirt are perfectly appropriate! We want you to be comfortable.
