How to Get There

⒈ FLY TO PANAMA CITY (PTY) The first step is to book a flight to Panama City, which is about 4-5 hours from NYC. There are direct flights from most major U.S. cities, including New York and Albany ⒉ TRANSFER TO DOMESTIC AIRPORT Once you arrive in Panama City, we’ll arrange vans and cars to take you to the domestic airport (Albrook "Marcos A. Gelabert" International Airport), which is about 25 minutes away. If you need to stay the night in Panama City we can help you with that as well. ⒊ FLY TO BOCAS DEL TORO (BOC) From the domestic airport, you’ll take a short 50-minute flight with Air Panama to Bocas del Toro. Domestic round-trip tickets typically range from $80 to $125 when booked in advance. We’ll notify everyone as soon as tickets become available to help you secure the best rates. Additionally, we’re exploring the possibility of group discounts for larger groups traveling on the same date, which could further reduce costs. Important to know: If you're not able to get to Bocas del Toro by 5 PM on Friday, your next chance to arrive would be Saturday morning — and flights to Bocas are very limited (only 2 options available before our ceremony that day). That’s one reason we’re working to lock in Friday night too — to make your travel less stressful and way more fun. 1. TRASLADO AL AEROPUERTO DOMÉSTICO Una vez que llegues a Ciudad de Panamá, organizaremos vans y autos para llevarte al aeropuerto doméstico (Aeropuerto Internacional Albrook "Marcos A. Gelabert"), que está a unos 25 minutos de distancia. Si necesitas pasar la noche en Ciudad de Panamá, también podemos ayudarte con eso. 2. VOLAR A BOCAS DEL TORO (BOC) Desde el aeropuerto doméstico, tomarás un vuelo corto de 50 minutos con Air Panama hacia Bocas del Toro. Los boletos de ida y vuelta suelen costar entre $80 y $125 cuando se reservan con anticipación. Te avisaremos tan pronto como los boletos estén disponibles para ayudarte a conseguir las mejores tarifas. Además, estamos explorando la posibilidad de obtener descuentos para grupos grandes que viajen en la misma fecha, lo que podría reducir aún más los costos. Passport Information

For guests traveling from the United States, a valid passport is required to enter Panama. We suggest checking your passport expiration date, as it must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Here are some guidelines if you need to get or renew your passport: FOR FIRST-TIME PASSPORTS ⚘ Complete Form DS-11 online or pick up a paper form at your local post office. ⚘ Gather your proof of citizenship, ID, and a passport photo. ⚘ Schedule an appointment at a passport acceptance facility (like a post office or library). RENEWING A PASSPORT ⚘ You can renew your passport online or by mail if it meets renewal eligibility. ⚘ Processing time varies, but you can request expedited processing for an additional fee to receive it in 4-6 weeks. Booking Tips: Flights with Points (and Smart Planning)

Flying to Panama can be surprisingly affordable — especially if you’re using credit card points or airline miles! 💳 Best Redemption Options: Chase Ultimate Rewards® (UR) Points: Book through the Chase travel portal — you can often get a roundtrip ticket from NYC to Panama City (PTY) for ~25,000 points. American Airlines AAdvantage® Miles: Use your AA miles to fly direct from JFK/MIA for as little as 20,000 miles roundtrip — availability is surprisingly good if you book early. Recommendation: Plan Your Panama–Bocas Flight First Once you're set on coming, the first thing you should book is your domestic flight from Panama City (Albrook Airport/“PAC”) to Bocas del Toro (BOC) via Air Panama. Why? 🛩️ These flights are limited, and they fill up quickly — especially around holidays. Once you’ve locked in your Bocas flight, you can coordinate your international flights around it. This will make your travel experience smoother and help avoid long layovers or missed connections. Quick tip: There are only 2-3 Air Panama flights per day. We recommend flying into Panama City at least one night before, which is why we’ve provided hotel recs in the city.
