Graduation Announcement

28 years ago, I started kindergarten in Berkeley, CA. 13 years later, I moved to Southern California for college, then Urbana, IL for my PhD, and finally Chicago, IL for my MD. This year, I applied into family medicine to pursue residency training in reproductive and sexual health, queer and trans medicine, obstetrics, family planning, addiction medicine, preventative health, chronic illness management, and behavioral and integrative health.
As a friend, family member, teacher, neighbor, or somewhere in between, you played a role in my path to get here. Please join in celebrating my residency match, graduation from my final doctoral program, and my upcoming birthday.
I know everyone has their own busy schedule and the journey to Chicago may not be feasible. Do not feel pressure to attend in-person. I’ll be sending my immense gratitude and will look forward to celebrating in another way. Everyone will be with me in spirit as I walk the stage and receive my hood.
