In the middle of an unforgettable year shaped by Covid, we found something unforgettable in each other. We met on July 31, 2020, at a small community center called Crawford School in my hometown of Chester, South Carolina. Rico was being his kind, generous self- giving someone a ride across the field on his 4-wheeler- when he asked if anyone else needed a ride. No one said anything. My mama nudged me and said, "Go ahead Monique." I looked at her and said, "I don't know that man." LOL! However, I kept my eyes on him and it was something about Rico and his mannerism!! I went and shot my shot....sure DID! We talked for a minute and exchanged numbers. The rest is history. As time passed, our friendship grew into a love rooted in intention, trust, and gratitude. We've shared countless memories, laughter, and moments that have brought us closer together. Looking back, it's clear that everything unfolded exactly as God intended. We are incredibly grateful for one another and beyond excited for this next chapter. We're about to be married yall!!
