Ricky and I were best friends well before our romantic relationship began. From attending Bet Yeladim Pre School in the late 90s to going on family camping trips and New Years celebrations, we always seemed to end up spending time with one another. In high school we grew closer as we bonded over our mutual love of The Office, Broadway Musicals, BBYO, and Camps Airy and Louise. Though we would both be lying if we said the idea of dating didn’t cross our minds when we were younger, it wasn’t until the very end of our senior year at Atholton High School that we finally admitted our feelings for each other. In January of 2015, in the middle of our Junior year in college and just days before Ricky went off to Rome for a semester abroad, we went on our first date in Washington D.C. Upon returning from Rome, on May 22 Ricky and I finally decided we were ready to make things official! The next 4 years were filled with new experiences and incredible adventures. During our senior year in college we spent a lot of time on 95, traveling from Towson to College Park on the weekends. Since then, we have gotten to know each other and our families better through countless holidays, celebrations, vacations, and relaxing weekends at home. Broadway shows such as Book of Mormon, Hamilton, and Dear Evan Hansen have filled up our calendars and Spotify playlists. We have packed our bags to fly all over the US and several European cities as well. Every day is an adventure as long as we are at each others sides. On June 21, 2019 after a “week of us” Ricky planned the most beautiful surprise engagement. When I thought we were taking a short walk before dinner reservations, Ricky pulled out a key to a private pier next to one of our favorite places, showed me a video of some highlights from our amazing life together, and got down on one knee to ask me for my forever. Our life so far has been full of surprises and we cannot wait to continue to make memories and share our lives together as a married couple!
