It was a cold winter night in Providence... Mandy was cozied up at home when she got a text from Sarah Firetto to have a drink at Public Kitchen & Bar. The thought of staying in was tempting but Mandy obliged as she knew a night out with Sarah was always a fun time. Not feeling particularly fancy or anticipating that she would end up meeting the man she is going to marry, Mandy threw on a pair of jeans, a blazer, and her work heels and headed out to meet Sarah. The two found a spot at the bar and talked about all things boys, work, and everything in between. When all of a sudden, a group of Rhode Island’s finest guidos walked in. Sarah, being the socialite that she is, knew several of them. Introductions were made and Mandy instantly had emoji hearts in her eyes for one guy in particular. Rich captivated Mandy right away. She was intrigued by his suave disposition, mysteriousness, and sarcastic humor. Mandy was floating on Cloud 9 when Rich quickly brought her back to reality… he had just moved to Tampa two months prior! However, this did not deter Rich from asking her out on a date for the next night. He found Mandy's sweet personality refreshing and wanted to learn more about her. Rich and Mandy met at the Duck & Bunny and were wrapped up in each other’s stories for several hours before deciding to go to one of the bars next door to continue their conversation. It was the most perfect first date. Rich flew back to Tampa the following day. Neither of them expected to meet “the one” that weekend. But that is part of the beauty of their story; love finds you when you least expect it. Rich scheduled business trips in the New England area, Mandy would fly to Tampa, and they never went more than a month without seeing each other. After a year and a half of doing long distance, Rich asked Mandy to move to Florida with him. Rich, Mandy, and Lola (furbaby) now live in their charming bungalow located in the Historic Kenwood neighborhood of sunny Saint Petersburg.
