There are so many cheap hotels on Aurora, should I stay there?

Answer

Probably not.

But what about the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having a small ceremony for family on Friday. But everyone gets to come to the parties!

Do I have to stay in the city?

Answer

We'd recommend it. But Lynnwood, Bellevue, and anything between Northgate and the airport could work, just be prepared to Uber. Lynnwood and Seatac would be about a half hour drive to/from the venue. You don't need to stay downtown though!

Do I need a COVID vaccine? Or to take a test?

Answer

Yes please. Working in the medical and community service fields, we are very COVID conscious. There is supposed to be another booster in the Fall, so if you can get it you should, but we don’t know if it will be available before the wedding! Overall, we don’t want a super spreader event (omg embarrassing), and we definitely don’t want gramma to get COVID (she’s 92!).

Is it going to be cold?

Answer

It will be a lovely Seattle Fall, so we expect it to be lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s. So those of you coming from hot climates, prep accordingly!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The sooner the better! But we’d like them all in by mid September.

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Parking is limited street parking, so we recommend ride shares, carpooling, or the bus!

What is Black Lodge?

Answer

We will be having a welcome concert at Black Lodge! This is a DIY space that has been important to the Seattle music scene for years and recently faced closure. Ricky and the Vera Project were able to revitalize the space and make it 1) cool and 2) safe! We want to show off Ricky's great work!
