How do two introverted people meet? Short answer, online! End of 2022 we both downloaded hinge to see what was out there. After months of random small talks to too many people it felt like we would never find anyone worth it! One day he liked my profile and I found him interesting but wasn’t ready so I left him in my likes! I took a break for a month until I logged back in and surprisingly he was still there! Is this fate? Destiny? Or we were both logged out for a while? On his profile he mentioned that he liked hikes so there was my starting convo! The first question I asked him was what his favorite place to hike was and he said panthers creek. We both agreed to be friends and not rush into anything but it definitely did not go that way. We talked everyday from morning to night. We continued this for weeks until one day he asked me on a date! Without a doubt I accepted. He planned an entire day together, I was nervous but excited all at once. The day of our date I met him at his place and even met his mom. Meeting moms, especially on the first day can make you even more nervous. She was wonderful and spoke so highly of Ricky! Spent the entire day together and it was truly one of the best days of my life! I have never felt the way I did before with anyone and I know Ricky felt the same as well! By the end of the night driving home I knew that he was the one! The rest as you can tell is being written and so many memories and adventures to come!

We took a trip to the Dominican Republic. We researched the resort to see what they had so we knew how to plan our stay. They had a romantic dinner on the beach and we thought it would be nice to have something like that. Ricky never hesitated on it and he made sure we had it planned. Ricky knew how important having my parents blessings would be so the day before he called my parents and my sister Diana to ask for their blessing. Of course they gave it to him with joy and happy smiles. He was very sneaky in planning this since I truly had no idea. We checked the weather everyday and there was a slight chance of rain that evening. He was on top of it and making sure there was a plan b if plans didn't go as planned. He never mentioned a photographer until the day of. I didn't think much of it, I assumed it came with the package and he knows I enjoy taking pictures. We Met the photographer who was going to be taking photos of us as we are walking to the dinner. The weather was beautiful so the walk was so nice. As we are approaching where the dinner is, we continue to take photos. We need to do one of me solo and in that moment I had a feeling that something was about to happen. To my surprise I turn around and there is he.. on one knee. I cried so much that I couldn't even speak so all I did was nod my head. Luckily he understood that meant yes. We then had our dinner and it was truly amazing. This was the best surprise ever.
