Located in the central uplands of the island, this crystallized, limestone cave is characterized by flowing streams, deep pools of crystal clear water and towering columns. Gaze in wonder at the white flow stones and in awe at the beauty of the speleothems which adorn the cave. 417-3700 or 836-5147 (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)
Oistins is an active fishing town on the south coast and is a hub of activity on weekend nights. On Friday night particularly, the big thing to do is go to the fish fry at Oistins Bay Gardens. The food is the main draw - excellent fish, (tuna, swordfish, marlin, mahi-mahi, flying fish), lobster, chicken etc served in an extremely informal setting. You can get your fish grilled or fried depending on which vendor you choose from. It's all cooked on the spot in front of you.
Brownes Beach is one of the largest and busiest of Barbados' beaches, stretching from The Boatyard in the north to Needham's Point in the south. Located just on the outskirts of the capital city Bridgetown, the waters here are very calm making it ideal for swimming and sea bathing. A lifeguard is on duty at the beach.
We went here on our first date. Needless to say we had a blast. St.Lawrence Gap, a 1.3 km stretch of road in the parish of Christ Church, is famous for it's fine restaurants, diverse accommodation, lively nightlife and good shopping. 'The Gap', as it is commonly known, is a place where various cultures meet and merge ... it is an experience that should not be missed!
Local friendly pub atmosphere in the courtyard where friends can meet and lime. One of our favourite liming spots
