In 2014 I was working at Walgreens when this cute boy came in one late night while i was restocking the candy aisle. He said “what would you do if i knocked all this candy down?” I replied, “You’ll have to stay here and help me clean it up.” And that was the last time we saw each other until 2016. I was recently single and working with Ricky’s sister, Trish, ar CVS. She suggested that Ricky and I should go on a date. So I added him on Facebook and we started talking. I had totally forgotten about that one night two years prior, but Ricky didn’t. The first thing he asked was, “Hey, didn’t you used to work at walgreens?” After talking on and off for a couple months, Ricky told me he didn’t know what a nectarine was. So I got off work at 10pm, picked up some nectarines and went to Rickys to eat them in his driveway. Over the past five years, our love has become like a nectarine - sweet, gentle, and encouraging. It is said that nectarines hold the spiritual property of softening character and bringing out good intentions. We both have a bit of a rough surface, more like a peach, but inside we are both sweet and gentle and it took each other to bring that out in both of us. We are beyond excited to share our love and commitment for one another with our closest friends and family.
