Rick opened up the conversation on a dating app, personally offended Sarah did not list The Lion King as one of her top 3 Disney Movies. On our first date, Rick mentioned one of his all time favorite baseball players, Jorge Posada. Sarah responded saying "we have the same birthday!" Rick goes "wait...when's your birthday?"

It was Smokepocalypse 2023. Rick had been hoping to propose in the Conservatory Gardens or Riverside Park in early June, but Sarah's schedule and weather conditions made that very complicated. We had fled to Long Island to escape the smoke the day before, but Rick insisted we had to come back to our apartment the next night. Sarah decided to make it extra difficult, coming home unexpectedly between two appointments forcing Rick to quickly hide his beautiful proposal set up. On her way home Rick, stalled her asking her to pick up some bubble tea and trying to throw her off the trail. When she got home, Rick was down on one knee with Harry Potter on TV and a ring in his hand. Sarah said yes.
