We feel quite fulfilled looking back at the path that brought us here. Select a photo to read through our story.
We met freshman year of college at a UVM Top Cat party!
When Ian moved back to Vermont in 2019 a friendship sparked into something more.
After living for 2 years alone with Jules, Coraline was “adopted” by Ian and had her first official cat Dad.
A year into our romantic relationship and several months into a pandemic we bought a school bus! We began to demo it so we could turn it into our first home.
We were quarantined together through our first anniversary! Halloween was dubbed our kissaversary and there for our anniversary.
January 2021 we threw ourselves headfirst into life on the road, open to whatever came our way. Partners in life, love, and breakdowns.
Anniversary 2021 we were stranded in California with one dead bus and a partially converted bus. Casually living on a grassy knoll at a camp in the Los Gatos mountains. Where we were meant to be.
Happy and free we lived on the road for two years exploring the country and working remotely. We did both of our Skoolie conversions on our own and lived our literal dream.
Our third anniversary was celebrated while we were traveling through Billings, Montana. We were “holy cow”…get it?
Then we settled in Florida with a plan to rebuild Halfpint Junior the Bus — instead we used the year to grow in our careers, enjoy a blip of a beach lifestyle, and dream up our next adventure.
We fell more and more in love everyday. Honoring the past, grateful for the present, and excited for the future.
Halloween 2023 was our 4 year anniversary. Ian’s favorite number, and Jules’ first suspected proposal. He did not in fact propose.
Adventuring on we packed up our apartment in Tampa Bay, pit stopped in North Carolina for a knee surgery, then settled outside of Chicago for job opportunities, family, and seasons.
Naturally, we couldn’t live without a rig — so we bought an old honda element and built it out to be an adventure rig and travel office for work and weekend trips.
Halloween 2024 we celebrated our 5th Halloween and Anniversary together, we were both sick and we spent the evening in the ER. We managed to love each-other more despite the difficulties.
Together, we adopted Koda kitten and became a family of 4!
We started really growing roots in our new community enjoying all of the beauty of living traditionally just as much as we missed the freedom of the road.
We nested — making this city our home and in our stability we started to see the rest of our lives play out before us.
June 14th, 2025 beyond the point of trying to guess when he would get on one knee Ian somehow managed to pull off a surprise proposal. We were both too excited to remember a thing! Champagne was had.
Right before the August 2025 full moon we booked our wedding — August 28th, 2026 on this years full moon at the farm at Dover!
