FAQs

The Wedding Website of Ricki Day and Tim Flanagan
We are hopeful these FAQs answer any lingering questions but if they do not, feel free to reach out to the bride or groom directly.
Question

Best way to RSVP?

Answer

We hope to see as many of you there as possible but we understand everyone has busy lives. If you are able to attend or regretfully cannot, please RSVP via this website by April 1st, 2023 so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What type of food will be served during the reception?

Answer

We are so lucky to have Casa Oaxaca, out of Minburn, Iowa catering our event! They will be serving authentic Mexican cuisine buffet style so you will be able to make your own tacos, nachos, etc. Late night munchies will also be available for those dancing the night away with us!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, our open bar will consist of beer, wine, seltzers and margaritas. We will also have a cash bar option for mixed drinks. Please note, anything outside of our open bar options will be cash only.

Question

Can I bring the kids?

Answer

Although we love your littles, to allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make this event adults only. Please take advantage of the opportunity for a well deserved date night!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Again, we'd love for our guests to take advantage of the opportunity for a date night out! We suggest dressing up, but at whatever level of comfortability "dressing up" means for you. We are more excited to celebrate and dance with you than to worry about what you wear. We want our guests to enjoy themselves and have fun! For those interested, our venue colors will be predominantly white and black with accents of dark green.

Question

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel section of this website for information on the Residence Inn by Marriott. It is a one minute walk from the venue. You will need to book no later than April 14th, 2023 to utilize the blocked room discount pricing.

Question

Is there parking available at the reception venue?

Answer

Yes, parking is self serve and free. Our venue also includes overnight parking free of charge. The bride and groom are not providing any sort of transportation, as the event is at one location.

Question

When does the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

Answer

We will need to start winding down at 11pm. There are additional bars within The District in Ankeny that would allow the party to continue. We have no set plans for an after party but will happily join our guests where ever the evening takes us!

Question

Any more details I should know?

Answer

Toast is a new venue in Ankeny that includes a roof top patio. It is located on the 3rd floor with the option of stairs or an elevator. You will find signage directing you to the location after parking and entering the building.

Question

Will Manny be there?

Answer

Yes! Manny will be there, dapper as ever! He is just as excited to celebrate with everyone and will gladly assist with any food you're unable to finish!

For all the days along the way
