Celebrating the future Mr. & Mrs. Deyoung

We met in the Summer of 2022 before Hope started school at Trevecca. However, our fast friendship didn't truly begin until May 2023, when we were assigned to travel across the Southeast Region of the U.S. with Trevecca's Summer Ministry Team (SMT). We spent the entire summer as best friends, as it was strictly in our SMT contract that there could be no romantic relations; this ended up being the greatest blessing, as we truly began our relationship on the foundation of friendship. That summer, we explored 8 states, worshipped beside one another, supported each other through difficult and exhausting circumstances, laughed til our bellies hurt, and saw each other at our best and worst. Through it all, we still chose each other. We started dating on July 29th, 2023. We couldn't wait for that contract to close on July 31st- sorry, Mysty! We love our sweet story, showcasing the power of church camp bringing people together!

We have navigated so many life changes together! We haven't always done it perfectly, but through it all, we have still chosen each other. We are best friends who value nature, Mexican food, pickleball, our church, and, most of all, making each other laugh. We are so excited to pursue these values for the rest of our lives, together!
