International Rose Test Garden

Free - Over 10,000 Rose bushes. The park is impeccably maintained. If your up for it , the Japanese Garden is steps away. Japanese Gardens is no longer free now $17 per person.

Pittock Mansion

Fun experience to see how "the other side" lived at in the laste 1800,'s early 1900's. The wealth of this family was amazing.

The Alphabet District, NW

The Alphabet district is an excellent place to visit while in Portland. This area is filled with shops, restaurants, and beautiful homes. The architecture is absolutely stunning and is mainly comprised of older homes that have been well maintained and newly restored. It's a great place to take a leisurely stroll while enjoying the beautiful views of the city. This district is also home to the ever so famous Salt & Straw Creamery. You cannot visit this part of town without experiencing a scoop of their amazing ice cream! There are tons of restaurants to choose from and the streets are filled with the most adorable mom and pop and boutique style stores. Parking on the street is tough, but there are several parking garages around the area that charge a nominal fee. If you're visiting Portland and are looking for fun things to do, I would highly recommend a visit to the Alphabet district.

Multnomah Falls

Great trail to the top! Gift Shop and restaurant. Go the old scenic highway - beautiful drive with lots of waterfalls and hikes on the way. Keep going up the Gorge for beautiful scenery and head toward Hood River.

Hood River

Stop at Multnomah Falls and continue up the gorge to Hood River Waterfront Park, Hood River City Stairs, lots of really good restuarants, bars and wineries. MountNbarrel Wine Tours, Bike tours.

Timberline Lodge Post Office

Right up toward the top of Mt. Hood! Beautiful Lodge, hiking trails and dining. Beautiful Drive.

Mt St Helens Visitor Center

So many adventures to take advantage of at Mt St. Helens. Visitor Centers, Zipline, Helicopter Tour, Ape Caves, hiking and so much more. About 60 miles from Portland 1.5 hr drive each way.
