We met while playing sand volleyball in College Station. I remember standing across the net from him and introducing myself, he said he remembers thinking I was outgoing. Meanwhile my roommates who I had come with were talking to his friends who he had come with. He and his friends and my roommates ended up going fishing together, and inviting us all over to eat the fish they had caught for dinner. When I showed up with my roommates, I remember seeing him and us both immediately recognizing each other. We began talking, and I remember finding him very easy to talk to. After that we all began hanging out as a group very frequently, and he and I became very close friends. —Sarah

Sarah and I first met playing volleyball during January of my junior year at Texas A&M. Not too long after, she and her roommates, the spectacular Dom Girls as we called them, and Eli, Ryley and I, known as the Revo's Boys, began hanging out. The snowpocalypse of Febuary 2021, which soon followed, was one of the best weeks of my young life. Partly because we had a full week of no class, but mainly because that was the catalyst for Sarah and I's friendship. From dumpster diving for donuts to weekend long river trips and late night shenanagins, Sarah and I made some awesome memories and grew in friendship the latter half of my junior year. Summer came along and we remained in touch in the midst of 5-week long mission trip to Kenya for Sarah, and a summer wildlife internship for myself. I even got to spend a weekend with her and her family in Austin for the 4th of July (just as friends, I promise). Coming back to College Station in the fall, Sarah and I picked up on our friendship, hanging out every once in awhile. Apparently she began to grow feelings for me (crazy huh?) and I had no idea haha. Not too long after, however, during my Christmas Break, I too began to feel those same feelings towards her. I thought and prayed, and then thought some more, and then finally got the courage to tell her how I felt. And she felt the same way! We went on three dates, asked her to be my girlfriend, and the rest was history ;) -Rick
