We met on Match last spring. This year has transformed our lives and we are ready to take the next step. A lifetime commitment, and a blending of our lives.
I met Rick on Memorial Day weekend last year. I tried online dating, and it was fun, but when I met Rick I knew that he was someone special. I went to work the next day and told everyone I had met a guy like no one else I had ever met. I had that moment of knowing he was the one. We had a lot of things in common, but he was just different enough to be intriguing. Some of the things we have in common is that we both have a daughter and son here on earth, 4 grandkids each, one of my grandchildren is actually my beautiful great- granddaughter, and our birthdays are both in September. We have a lot more in common, but those were the first things that came up in our initial conversation. We soon decided to get more serious, and in October on a hot air balloon ride, Rick asked me to marry him. I was overjoyed and said “YES”. Since then I have been commuting to work every day frim Benicia, and my life has changed completely. I am so excited for this next chapter in my life as Mrs. Arden. This is a poem I wrote to Rick. I really don’t know if words Can convey The feelings and emotions I feel Every day Since we met. I realized the first time that I met With you That things that we talked about Were absolutely true Are you the spirit that I have been Looking for? Here are possibilities of a Deeper connection We talk about the absurdity Of expecting perfection But you are perfectly imperfect To me You show your soul, you bare Your heart I still feel our connection even when We’re apart You are the partner I’ve been Waiting for.
From the moment I first saw Mary, I knew I had met my Match. My heart went boom and my spirit soared, I saw the future as never before. Looking back without a single regret, I knew the best of my life, hadn’t happened yet. I can’t tell one from another, did I find you or you find me? There was a time, before we were born, if someone asks “This is where I’ll be.” D. Byrne “The minute I heard my first love story I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along.” Rumi
