This a great walking trail in downtown Lynchburg. There are various places to enter the trail, but more can be found by visiting the Lynchburg's Parks & Rec webpage.
Sharp Top Trail is about 45 minutes outside of Lynchburg, but is one of our favorite trails. The hike is about 1.5 miles in each direction and comes out to a 360-degree view of the Peaks of Otter in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest is the site of one of Thomas Jefferson's private residences. Tours are available daily. More information can be found on their webpage.
White Hart Cafe is easily one of our favorite coffee shops in Lynchburg and is convenient to anyone that chooses to stay downtown.
Waterstone Pizza makes delicious fire roasted pizza and was a frequented while when we lived in Lynchburg. It is directly beneath the Craddock Terry Hotel, making it convenient for anyone staying downtown.
Depot Grille is another favorite that is right downtown by the James River.
Robin Alexander is one of the most popular restaurants in Lynchburg. This is another great spot convenient to downtown.
Magnolia Foods is a cute shop in the Riverside area that makes some of the best sandwiches we've ever had.
